Have a BEARY Happy Birthday!

Sorry everyone!   I haven't written in a while...it's been a tough year for me-but I'm back!
Today was a pretty gloomy day up here in the mountains, so it was a great day to work on some card designs.  I haven't done many children's cards, so I thought this would be a good day to start.  Although I started out thinking about kids, my hubby thinks this card would be great for any age!  What do you think?  Here is a cute bear themed birthday card for children of all ages!  It's a pretty simple design, but turned out so nice!  I added a brown satin bow to the top corner of the bear, but it wouldn't scan right, so I took it off for the picture...

Materials needed:
  • 7 X 10 dark brown card stock
  • 3 3/4 X 3 1/4 dark brown card stock
  • 3 1/4 X 1 dark brown card stock
  • dark brown bow
  • Bear with present digital image (available at http://www.dreamstime.com/) cut to 3 X 3 1/2 on white cardstock
  • 3 X 3/4 Happy Birthday sentiment on white card stock (I used Kristen ITC font in 22 point)
  • 6 3/4 X 4 3/4 yellow cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug swiss dots folder (you can also use yellow patterned paper with white dots - I tried it both ways!)

Instructions:
  1. Fold 7 X 10 dark brown card stock in half (to create a 5 X 7 card) - be sure to make a crisp fold!
  2. Adhere yellow embossed cardstock to front of card
  3. Adhere bear image to 3 3/4 X 3 1/4 dark brown card stock for matting
  4. Adhere bear image and mat 3/4 inches down from top of card
  5. Adhere Happy Birthday sentiment to 3 1/4 by 1 dark brown card stock for matting
  6. Adhere sentiment and mat 3/4 inches from bottom of card
  7. Fold brown ribbon into bow and adhere to top right corner of bear image using a mini glue dot

That's it!  Enjoy!
Please send me photos of your completed cards!  I would love to see them!
